"The father of the 20 th Century"; Nikola Teslai

“The father of the 20th Century”; Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla (1856 -1943) was not only the founder of AC Current, but also of the Radio and about a hundred other patents. As such a he was seen as the founder of the 20th century because we live comfortable lives due to the things he patented long ago.

The beginning.

Nikola Tesla was the son of an Orthodox priest in Smiljan, Croatia. He attributed his exploring and innovative side to his mother who was just as innovative as a homemaker and she developed the mechanical egg beater. He studied in Prague and Austria mechanical and electrical engineering where after he started working for the Central Telephone Exchange in Budapest. Later he joined Thomas Edison, the inventor of the Inca decent light bulb and the inventor of the first electric lightning system in lower Manhattan. But rivalry between them caused Tesla to join George Whitehouse and together they won the war of the currents against Thomas Edison and that was the birth of AC current as we know it today. Later he developed wireless electricity and the Tesla coil. At this stage J.P. Morgan who finished the Niagara Falls project, was backing him financially, but withdraw his money when he heard that Tesla was aiming to supply the world with free wireless energy. That would prevent a lot of money to be made out of electrical lines instead of a wireless system that would help everyone on the planet.

His patents. In total Tesla had 700 patents registered. He invented the modern electrical motor, basic wireless transmission of electricity, remote control, neon bulbs, basic laser and X-ray Technology as well as the Tesla coil that is widely used in television sets and other electrical equipment and a lot more that’s not mentioned over here. In 1943 the U.S. Supreme court ruled in favour of Tesla as "The father of the radio" although Gougliemo Marconi, wrongly received the Nobel Prize in 1909 for his contributions to the invention of the radio.

Death of Nikola Tesla.

He died as a poor man in 1943 in the New Yorker Hotel in New York and the FBI have confiscated all his notes and belongings and it is believed that a lot of U.S. Armoury was Tesla's inventions. In his notes must have been a lot of inventions that he did not patented. Nikola Tesla was the man that wanted to give and could have given every person in the world free electricity but because of the intervention of the Capitalist system, it never happened.

Nikola Tesla quotes can be widely found in literature and he was known for his wisdom in a variety of areas, he have about 97 documented quotes. He have done this although he was a very depressed man who lived in his silent world of invention and never got credit for whom he really was, is and will be when we see everything that he invented come to live. He was a great man and his quotes show us that he had wisdom about a wide variety of things. Might his great endeavours live forever in the quotes that he left as sign of his wisdom.
